Back in the studio once more

Posted on | December 27, 2005 | No Comments

I spent a good chunk of the extended holiday weekend plugged into the studio.

This is both good and bad.

Good, because I got some work done.

Bad, because I’m becoming exceptionally dissatisfied with my vocals. I’ve got one track – a big, electro-rock anthem kind of thing – with a kickass huge singalong chorus, but truly craptacular verses. And I mean TRULY craptacular. Oh, the recording quality is pristine, but I warble off-key, thin and nasally for about half of one, and the vocal melody is pretty weak and the cadences seem forced.

it’s frustrating. I have a few ideas to bulk things up a bit, and I hope that those work.
